Intelligent services (knowledge-intensive services) attract the growing attention of researchers around the world by becoming an important element of the emerging " knowledge economy " . The intellectual business services sector (knowledge-intensive business servics, KIBS), which in developed countries is already making tangible contributions to GDP and employment.
The vast majority of innovation studies in the intellectual services sector are in developed economies. Non-EU countries are not represented at all. However, developing markets have their own characteristics and often detect processes and phenomena that do not appear in developed country markets or are weak. Based on the data obtained from the monitoring of the intellectual services sector carried out by ISEEZ NIS, in cooperation with the Romir Research Chlding since 2006, we will show that this assertion is fully equitably true to the innovative potential of the intellectual services sector in Russia.
